Bulk Watermark a ZIP File of PDFs and Images

Got an archive full of documents or photos? Drop the ZIP here. BigWatermark extracts every PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP and Word file, stamps them all with your watermark, and packs the results into a fresh ZIP.

Step by step

How to watermark all files in a ZIP archive

  1. 1

    Upload the ZIP

Drop one or more ZIP archives onto the upload area; supported files inside are extracted automatically.

  2. 2

    Review the queue

Check the extracted files in the Files panel, filter by name and remove anything you do not want to watermark.

  3. 3

    Set up the watermark

Choose text or a logo and adjust its look while previewing any file in the batch.

  4. 4

    Apply to the whole batch

Click Apply to watermark every extracted PDF and image with the same settings.

  5. 5

    Download a new ZIP

Name your archive and download all watermarked files together as one ZIP.

Why watermark a whole ZIP at once?

Teams often receive or deliver files as archives: a month of invoices, a set of exam papers, a photo shoot, a data room export. Unzipping, watermarking each file and zipping everything back up by hand takes time and invites mistakes. BigWatermark turns that into a single step with one consistent watermark across every file.

How the ZIP workflow works

  1. Your browser opens the archive locally — the ZIP is not uploaded.
  2. Supported files are extracted from every folder level: PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, DOCX and DOC.
  3. System files (such as __MACOSX and hidden dot-files), unsupported formats and nested archives are skipped.
  4. Word files are converted to PDF so their layout stays intact, then watermarked like any other PDF.
  5. After processing, you download a new ZIP. Files with identical names are numbered automatically, e.g. report-watermarked.pdf and report-watermarked (2).pdf.

FAQ

Questions about this tool

Is my ZIP file uploaded anywhere?

No. The archive is opened and extracted by your browser. Only Word documents found inside it are sent to our conversion server to be turned into PDFs, and they are deleted right after conversion.

Can I upload several ZIP files at the same time?

Yes. Select or drop multiple archives together, or mix ZIP files with loose PDFs and images. Everything ends up in the same queue.

Are files inside nested ZIPs processed?

No. ZIP files inside a ZIP are skipped for safety and speed. Extract the inner archive first and upload it separately.

Will the folder structure be kept in the downloaded ZIP?

The downloaded ZIP contains all watermarked files in a single folder with "-watermarked" added to each name. Duplicate names are numbered so no file overwrites another.
