Cookie Policy

How BigWatermark and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device identifiers. They can be “first-party” (set by the site you visit) or “third-party” (set by another service, such as an advertising network).

Cookies set by BigWatermark

The watermarking tool works without cookies. We do not use cookies to track you, and we do not use analytics cookies. We store one preference in your browser’s local storage:

Advertising cookies

To keep the Service free, we may show ads from third-party networks such as Google AdSense (and, where applicable, other networks such as Media.net). These partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to:

  • serve ads and limit how often you see the same ad;
  • measure ad performance and detect fraud;
  • personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites, where you have consented or where permitted by law.

Google’s use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses cookies in advertising and How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Advertising partners act under their own privacy policies.

Consent

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent through a consent management platform before personalized advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy options link shown by that platform or by clearing your cookies. Elsewhere, you can opt out using the options below.

How to control cookies

  • Google ads: manage or turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
  • Industry opt-outs: aboutads.info/choices (US), NAI opt-out and youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
  • Your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data in their privacy settings. Blocking cookies does not stop the watermarking tool from working, but you may still see non-personalized ads.
  • Global Privacy Control: where supported, enabling GPC in your browser signals your choice to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy if our use of cookies changes. For more information, read our Privacy Policy or contact us at support@bigwatermark.com.
